Our final opinion on Pet Protect pet insurance
Pet Protect was established in 1983 and their pet insurance policies are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
The company offers three cover types; the Lifetime cover, the Condition Care and the TimeCare cover. The Lifetime cover option is also the lifetime policy and apart from offering the most comprehensive cover, it offers the highest level of cover for vet bills (up to £4,000 or £6,000)
The Condition care option offers cover of up to £3,000 for vet bill and the Time care cover offers cover of up to £3,000 also. They have a high ration of 4.0 on TrustPilot but low ratings on Defaqto.
Pet Protect only offers cover to dogs up to the age of 8 and cats up to the age of 10. Cover for pre-existing medical conditions is not available and their policyholders are given access to a UK-based contact centre which is open from 8am-6pm Monday-Friday. The insurance company is recommended as they have good customer review which indicates that their services are satisfactory.
